For Noor and Khalid's 400-guest wedding in Fujairah, the mountain landscape became part of the ceremony architecture. Instead of covering the view, layered translucent forms rose around a central opening, creating a sculptural frame through which the coast and mountains remained visible. White and green florals softened the base of the structure, while a reflective aisle extended the composition towards the guest seating.

THE STORY

The celebration was conceived around a balance of scale and lightness. For 400 guests, the ceremony needed a focal point with real presence, but the couple did not want the setting to feel visually heavy. The solution was a layered composition of translucent organic forms, white and green florals and reflective surfaces that allowed the landscape to remain part of the experience.

DESIGN AND PRODUCTION

Installation photographs show the MoreLess Events team working on site, positioning floral elements, adjusting the structure and refining the aisle before guests arrived. The visual record moves from an active build environment with ladders, protective flooring and unpacked materials to a finished ceremony defined by symmetry, candlelight and controlled detail.

DAY TO NIGHT

During the day, the translucent surfaces appeared light and architectural. As natural light faded, illumination gave the same forms greater depth and presence. The completed setting achieved impact at a large scale while preserving a quiet palette and the character of its Fujairah location.

THE STORY

A 400-guest wedding asks two questions at once: how can the ceremony feel grand enough for the room, and how can it still feel personal at the centre? The answer here was repetition and transparency. Layered sculptural forms created height and rhythm without forming a solid wall, allowing the natural landscape to remain part of the experience.

THE DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

MoreLess Events shaped the concept through a defined design direction: fluid outlines, translucent surfaces, soft metallic edging and clustered florals in a controlled white-green palette. The moodboard was translated into buildable elements, then tested through spatial planning so the backdrop, aisle and seating read as one composition. Close-up material decisions mattered because the same structures had to look refined at arm’s length and coherent from the back rows.

PRODUCTION AT SCALE

For 400 guests, production extends well beyond the ceremony backdrop. The team worked around guest flow, installation access, platform levels and the relationship between seating and stage. The mirrored central aisle pulled light through the space and improved the sense of depth. Low floral groupings protected sightlines, while the higher petal structures created a focal point visible across the ceremony.

WHY THIS PROJECT IS DIFFERENT

This project demonstrates that a large wedding does not need visual heaviness to communicate scale. The design used air, light and repetition as production materials in their own right.
