Leila's Citrus-Blue Graduation Dinner for 18 Guests

For this graduation party, MoreLess Events treated a milestone dinner for 18 guests as a complete visual world. A cool blue table, bright citrus and hydrangea created a fresh, celebratory composition that felt polished without becoming formal.

THE STORY

Graduation is both an ending and a beginning, so the design needed energy rather than ceremony. The long rectangular table gave the group one shared focal point and kept conversation connected across all 18 places. Instead of relying on a conventional floral palette, the design used whole and cut citrus as colour, texture and a playful reference to summer.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

The design direction began with contrast: cool blue linen and seating against vivid orange fruit, pale hydrangea and small botanical accents. MoreLess Events translated that palette into a top-to-bottom tablescape, working from the aerial geometry of the table to the individual place setting. The result reads clearly in a wide view and still rewards a close look.

PRODUCTION LOGIC

For an intimate dinner, scale is measured differently. Centrepieces had to feel abundant while preserving eye contact; repeated orange details created rhythm across the table; and the poolside setting remained visible rather than being covered by heavy décor. The U-shaped layout created a strong arrival view and allowed all 18 guests to feel part of one celebration.

WHY THIS PROJECT IS DIFFERENT

This was not a miniature wedding. It was a confident private-event concept built specifically for a graduation: youthful, graphic and sociable, with a clear colour story and no unnecessary formality.
